Gerald McCoy Oklahoma |
|
| How Gerald McCoy falls this far nobody knows. What I do know is that this would be an excellent pick for a franchise which has a habit of messing them up. McCoy really isn't far behind Suh in terms of ability and what he can do and would be a welcome addition to any defensive line. | ||

Bruce Campbell Maryland |
Sergio Kindle Texas |
| A big freakish athlete with an awesome 40 time just screams to be a Raider. Too high for him, but that's never stopped Skeletor before. | The Raiders traded for Kamerion Wimbley, but with Kindle you get another guy who can play end or OLB, allowing the Raiders D a lot of flexibility to move guys around. | |

Trent Williams Oklahoma |
|
| - It may be the trendy thing to place Bruce Campbell in this slot, but I donユt think even Al Davis is that inept. Williams has shown solid athleticism and has shown this offseason that heユs in shape and ready to contribute. | ||

| Al Davis could draft a better football player than track athlete, how's that for unexpected? | ||

Maurkice Pouncey Florida |
Daryl Washington TCU |

Team Needs: OT, DT, LB, OG, CB Alternative: OT Bryan Bulaga, RB C.J. Spiller, OL Mike Iupati, S Taylor Mays NOTE: Latest rumor is that the Raiders are very high on Florida Center/Guard Maurkice Pouncey as well as the Denver Broncos, who has the #11 pick. Pouncey is moving up many draft board QUICKLY and he could now go in the Top 20. Al Davis does value dominating interior lineman and he loves MEAN lineman who loves to finish blocks. Pouncey is not a "MEAN" type of player but he does have a MEAN streak and he does finish blocks. Most will consider taking a Interior Offensive Lineman this high a reach, but Pouncey would actually be a player worth taking this high because he will anchor your line for that next 10-15 years. Bruce Campbell is a guy people are assuming Al Davis would go crazy over based on workouts and athletic ability, but when it comes to lineman, Al seems to go more for BIG NASTY lineman instead of athletic ones. Just look at some of the linemen he did select high in previous drafts (Robert Gallery, Matt Stinchcomb, Mo Collins), none of those guys were all that athletic. Brian Bulaga would actually be more of a "Al Davis type of lineman" to be honest, Bulaga has that MEAN and NASTY style Al Davis LOVES, that Don Mosebar and Steve Wisniewski demeanor. Mike Iupati has it also! It is important to note that the Raiders also re-signed OT Khalif Barnes, he will likely take over at Right Tackle since Cornell Green signed with the Bills. Does that mean the Raiders won't draft Offensive Tackle, absolutely not, but it is a great chance that Al will wait and try to find a steal in the 2nd or 3rd round. RB C.J. Spiller is another guy Al Davis could go with because of his speed, Spiller could help the Raiders on Special Teams and in the Passing Game. |
